Desert Rock Resort

KSA, UMLUJ

ECEC is currently providing LEED construction services for the Desert Rock Resort project, which will feature state-of-the-art facilities including a world-class spa and fitness center, remote dining areas, and a stunning lagoon oasis. The resort is being developed within a hidden valley between mountains and will comprise 48 villas and 12 hotel rooms integrated into the rock to preserve the area’s natural silhouette.

As part of its ongoing LEED construction services, ECEC is implementing a Sustainability Implementation Plan, an Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan, and a Construction Waste Management Plan. In addition, ECEC is developing inspection and tracking report templates for the Desert Rock Resort project, including reports for erosion and sedimentation control, construction waste management, and indoor air quality.

VISION & CONTEXT

A landmark shaped by its landscape

The engineering brief required systems that respected the dramatic desert terrain while delivering a hospitality experience at the top of the luxury scale. Every decision — from MEP routing to thermal comfort to water strategy — was taken in response to the site, not imposed upon it.

Good engineering is invisible to the guest and indispensable to the operator. On Desert Rock, both happened at the same time.
